Feeling Inspired

For those of you who haven't done so, check out Katie Davis' blog - http://kissesfromkatie.blogspot.com. This girl is a mirror image of who I used to dream of being. I want to adopt children, but "I'm too young." I want to go back to Uganda, but "I can't afford it." I want to be a mother to the motherless, and be the hands and feet of Jesus in a place where I'm not comfortable and where I don't know anyone. I keep telling myself, "finish school first, then you can go back there; you can't afford it now, maybe someday it will happen; you're too young to make any significant difference, wait until your older." Katie is a 21 year old girl from Tennessee, who left everything she knew at home - her family, friends, boyfriend, everything. She left and did what God had called her to do, she moved to Uganda. Three years ago, and just out of high school.

Reading Katie's blog and seeing the amazing ministry that she has started (www.amazima.org) is testing me, and my comfort zone to the point where it is kind of scary. I need to trust God and let Him lead me in His ways - let His will be done and not my own.
